Every year, three teams of 90 undergraduates bicycle across the country to raise money for people with disabilities. They call this the "Journey of Hope". This weekend, the Journey of Hope comes to Lake Havasu. The men of Pi Kappa Phi that comprise the Journey of Hope's South Team will arrive at Lake Havasu High School around 11am on Saturday morning. Everyone is invited to come out to support them. What is the Journey of Hope? The Journey of Hope is part of the fundraising efforts Push America uses to raise money for people with disabilities from all walks of life. The journey is tackled by three separate bicycling teams of 30 members each. Each "leg" begins in a different city along the Pacific Coast: the North Team begins in San Francisco, the South Team begins in Los Angeles and the Transamerica Team begins in Seattle.
