One of the great things about the Lake Havasu lifestyle involves the lake itself. We can go boating almost any time of the year. Living in the desert has its privileges. Safety needs to be a concern. Our local police partnered up with the Arizona Game and Fish Department for their Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange Program 2017. This helps keep safety at the top of mind for everyone.

Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange Program 2017
In Lake Havasu, every craft on the water must include at least one appropriately-sized life jacket for everyone aboard. That includes jet skis, Ski Doos, party barges, pontoons and day cruisers. Have your children outgrown last year’s jacket? Have you? Don’t toss them away. Instead, bring them to the Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange Program 2017 this Saturday. The police department’s Community Services Unit will be accepting old jackets and passing out brand new ones absolutely free of charge.
The Community Services Unit accepts almost every life jacket regardless of shape for the Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange Program 2017. If it’s ripped, bring it in. If it’s in bad shape, bring it in. Older jackets. Newer jackets. It doesn’t matter. These can all be exchanged for a brand new, size appropriate, USCG approved life jacket. The only ones that will not be accepted are the old, boxy, orange life jackets.
Feel free to bring your boat to the London Bridge Beach Stage, too. Officers will be performing vessel safety checks during the event as well. So, it’s a good time to make sure your boat or PWC is ready for play. You can be safe and still have fun out there on the water. Make sure you’re ready for summertime on the lake.
