According to George Bailey’s daughter Zuzu in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. Did you know that the same thing happens when you buy from a local vendor? Your dollars allow them to spread their wings so they can continue doing business which helps our local Lake Havasu community to thrive. The 2014 Havasu Art Guild Holiday Shoppe is the perfect place to stop this weekend to give some vendors their wings.

Don’t visit a big box store for some cookie-cutter gift that everyone else will be seeing this holiday season. Instead, come to the Aquatic Center for the 2014 Havasu Art Guild Holiday Shoppe. Here, you are sure to find something for even the hardest to shop for person on your Christmas list. Artists and artisans who specialize in pottery, handmade jewelry, woodwork, paintings, glass work and more will be on hand selling their wares to the public. You can even pick up some dessert or a nice hostess gift for your holiday parties at the bake sale.
Proceeds from the bake sale as well as the raffle to be held throughout the weekend will benefit the Havasu Art Guild’s very own scholarship programs. Every year, the Guild awards scholarships to local Lake Havasu art students in high school or college. So, you see. Shopping at the 2014 Havasu Art Guild Holiday Shoppe has even more benefits than you thought.
Don’t forget that the Havasu Festival of Lights begins this Friday on and under the London Bridge. Parking is available for free at the London Bridge Resort as well as in the parking lot next to the English Village. The area lights up after dark and stays lit until 10pm every single night through January 4, 2015. Rumor has it that Santa will be making an appearance on Friday night as well to kick things off.
