Get ready, Lake Havasu. The storm is a-comin’! The Lake Havasu Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout 2014 will be hitting town next week. That means that the lake will be rumbling with the sounds of some of the best and fastest performance boats around.

One visit to the Lake Havasu Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout 2014 and you’ll see why Performance Boats Magazine named it “One of the Top Five Poker Runs in the Nation”. Festivities begin with the kids and end with a race on the water. And, as with any Desert Poker Run before, there will be a bit of partying in Lake Havasu City in between.

- Wednesday, April 23rd
10am to 1pm: Krusin for Kids Charity Rides (Nautical Beachfront Resort)
1pm to 4pm: Kids Pool Party, includes lunch (Nautical Beachfront Resort)
6:30pm to 9:30pm: Auction, Open House & Welcome Party (Oregon Custom Marine, 1515 Industrial Blvd) – proceeds benefit New Horizons who help empower disabled citizens
- Thursday, April 24th
12pm to 9:30pm: Desert Storm Street Party (McCulloch Blvd from Capri to Acoma)
5pm: Poker Run Registration and Check-in (Across from BJ’s)
- Friday, April 25th
10am: Poker Run Channel Parade (parade of boats through the Bridgewater Channel)
10:45am to 2:30pm: Poker Run from The Island to Parker Dam and back
4pm: Concert and Beach Party for Poker Run participants (Nautical Beachfront Resort waterfront). Must purchase a raft-up flag beforehand.
- Saturday, April 26th
9am: Morning Desert Storm Shootout (Site Six Launch to Spectator Point)
1:30pm to 4pm: Afternoon Desert Storm Shootout (Site Six Launch to Spectator Point)
- Sunday, April 27th – If there are high winds or lightning over the lake, the shootout will be postponed to Sunday.
The Lake Havasu Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout 2014 is an event you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re participating in the event itself or just want to watch the shootout from the Island bluffs, you are sure to have a great time.
