Lake Havasu City made the list. The 24th Annual Winter Blast Pyrotechnics event scheduled for February 13-18, 2013 was the event that caught the ABA’s attention. Since the American Bus Association is such a prestigious magazine for folks that love their RVs and motorcoaches, it is quite an honor to be ranked in its list of “must-see” events for the year. The Lake Havasu City Visitors Bureau is expecting an increase in traffic as well as revenue to the area in February from it.
Since the late 1980s, the Western Pyrotechnic Association has shown off their latest and greatest pyrotechnic products in Lake Havasu City. Thousands descend upon the rodeo grounds at SARA Park every year to watch. Why should July 4th get all the fun? There will be product demos, food vendors and a beer garden. While several smaller displays can be seen in the sky earlier on in the evening as part of their demonstrations, the big pyrotechnic displays will take place beginning at 8pm Thursday through Monday. Country superstars Little Big Town will be performing a special free concert on Saturday, February 16th from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. For just $10, you can enjoy some great Cowboy BBQ with all the fixin’s at the same time.
Parking for those attendees coming in their cars is just $5 per day, while motorcoach parking is $25 per day for those passing through. Overnight campers can park their RVs for the entire 6 day/5 night event at SARA Park for just $100. However, dry camping is available for $25 a night at the Havasu rodeo grounds. Spots fill up fast, so make your reservation now! Don’t miss your opportunity to enjoy one of what the American Bus Association named as a 2013 Top 100 Event in North America…the Lake Havasu Winter Blast.
